Program Focus: Build velocity, strength, and durability through an integrated approach combining:

  • Strength & conditioning

  • Throwing development & arm care

  • Recovery techniques

  • Nutrition guidance

Led By:
—Coach Josh Dawson – Former Roanoke College pitcher & certified personal trainer specializing in baseball-specific strength development.
—Coach Matt Padilla – Former American River College pitcher, drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies, expert in arm care and pitching mechanics.

What’s Included: Each athlete receives a personalized weekly plan with:

  • Strength & throwing programs tailored to progression phases

  • Arm care routines

  • Access to The Futures App (workouts, videos, and tracking tools)

  • Nutrition tracking via MyFitnessPal to support muscle growth & recovery

Program Phases:
—Phase 1 (December): Ramp-Up
Build the foundation with key movement prep, mobility, and throwing drills to safely increase workload.
—Phase 2 (Jan–Feb): Velocity Development
Measure velocity and spin rate with Rapsodo and Pocket Radar. Increase intensity through live throwing sessions and progressive workload buildup.
Final week includes retesting to showcase performance gains.
