MEET OUR TEAM
FOC Owner/Instructor Alan Patrick has been with us since we opened in 2001. Alan graduated from Ballard High School in 1994 after lettering all 4 years in baseball. He was a 3-time All-Metro Team member and was All-State his senior year. He went on to play baseball at the University of Portland. Coach Patrick has been working with hitters, pitchers, and catchers for the past 16 years at FOC and is also the Program Director for the Bears Baseball Club. Alan is married with 2 daughters and lives in Snoqualmie Ridge.
Robert is in his 6th year with us and is now the Manager at FOC. “RJ” works with infielders, catchers, and hitters and is also a member of the Bears Baseball Club coaching staff. He was a member of the 1st Bears team before attending Issaquah HS where he lettered in baseball all four years. During his time at IHS, he was a member of 2 state championship teams, was voted all-league 2 times, and was name the Most Inspirational player 2 times. He went on to play at Cuesto Community College in California. RJ is engaged and lives in Issaquah.
Dani Weir heads up our softball program at FOC. She works with hitters, catchers, and fielders and brings an unique energy to instructing. She graduated from Woodinville HS after a stellar career including an undefeated season and state championship in 2005. She was 1st Team All-League 3 times, 1st Team All-State twice, and won numerous team awards. Despite a devastating injury, Dani played college softball at Boston College at 1B, 3B, and Catcher. This is where her passion for coaching became evident. Dani returned to the area and became the JV coach at Woodinville HS in 2011 and is now the Varsity Head Coach. In 2016, Dani was awarded the Washington State Coach of the Year and in 2017, led the Falcons to the 4A State Title!! Dani is married and lives in Carnation.
Brandon joins our staff after 8 years of coaching with the Bears BBC program. He attended Skyline HS where he played 2 seasons in the baseball program and varsity golf for 3 seasons. Brandon graduated from the University of Pacific where he again played 3 years of golf. Brandon has been coaching at Skyline HS the past 6 years and in 2016 became the Varsity Head Coach. In his first year at the helm, he led Skyline to their 1st State Championship and was named USA Today Washington State Coach of the Year Brandon is married and lives in Snoqualmie Ridge.
Richie joined the FOC team with a simple goal in mind, making young pitchers fall in love with the art of pitching!! He graduated from Woodinville HS where he captained the baseball team to the 2002 4A State Championship and was All-State and All-American in 02 and 03. He moved onto the University of Washington as a starting pitcher. He was drafted by the Boston Red Sox and played 4 1/2 years in their organization. In June of 2008, he was named Red Sox pitcher of the month and Closer for the California League All-Star Team. He retired in 2010. Richie and his wife Kelli live in Snoqualmie Ridge with their 2 daughters.
Mark attended Issaquah HS where he was a 3 year varsity starter and was a key member of the 2004 State Champion Team. Mark played 2 sports at Santa Rosa Junior College where he was a member of the 2005 Norcal State Champion Baseball Team. Mark has been coaching for the Bears BBC and at Issaquah HS (baseball and football) for the past 8 years.
Two-time First-Team All Northern California High School Shortstop. After high school, Bruce started four years at UC Berkeley, where he played in the College World Series (1980), earned All Pac-10 3B honors (1981) and was voted Team MVP (1982). . Bruce has played and coached at all amateur levels and has 30 years of experience working with youth development programs. Bruce is a co-founder of the Bears program and an owner at Field of Champions
Kevin joins our staff with extensive high school coaching experience. Former Head Coach Mercer Island High School (2002), Off-Season Coach at Eastlake HS (2003-10), Varsity Assistant at Skyline HS (2011-12). Kevin has also been the head coach of the Fatburger/Michael's Toyota BBC from 2004-Present.
Alex graduated from Decatur High School, lettering 3 of his 4 years, and earning 1st-Team honors as a pitcher his senior year. He then played 2 years at Pierce Community College both as a relief & starting pitcher. Alex’s performance during his Sophomore year earned an invitation to play in the West Coast League for the Bend Elks before continuing to play at Western Oregon University on scholarship. His two years at Western Oregon yielded a GNAC Championship and Bachelors in Exercise Science. Alex and his family live in Issaquah.
