Derek attended Skyline HS and was a 4-year varsity starter. While at Skyline, Derek was the 2nd rated 16 year old prospect in the nation, played for the Mariners area code team, was 1st team All-Kingco 3 times, and was awarded Eastside Player of the Year twice. Derek played college ball at the University of Arizona where he was a freshman All-American, played in the College World Series, played in the Alaskan Baseball League, and graduated with a degree in Human Physiology. Derek coached at Skyline HS in 2009 as well as managing the 13U Pine Lake Pilots.

Chad attended Skyline HS and was a 4 year varsity starter at shortstop and also pitched. Chad was 1st team All-Kingco twice and was also a team captain. Chad started his college career at Columbia Basin College where he was named 1st team All-NWAAC shortstop. Chad finished his college career at California State University at Chico where he was named All-CCAA 1st Team. Chad graduated with a BA in Visual Communication Design. In 2009, Chad ran the Skyline off-season baseball workouts and coached the 13U Pine Lake Pilots.
